AHPA president Michael McGuffin  said that the  AHPA is very thankful to the winners for their efforts and major contribution to the herbal products industry. He further said that constant growth of the industry always depends upon the decisions and actions taken by the active members of the industry.

But in a study report released in the journal Neurology has reported that long time smoking may reduce the risk of Parkinson's Disease. The National Institute of Environmental Health Science has also confirmed the news and advised that even it appears to be true, nobody should start smoking to prevent Parkinson.

Absence of legislation for these traditional treatments may prove dangerous for consumers as pointed out by Prof. Kerryn Phelps. She is president of an organisation called the Australian Integrative Medical Association that promotes coexistence of alternative and conventional treatments.
