Aloe Vera has its roots in the Cactus family. Being a medicinal plant, Aloe Vera comes with numerous varieties but there is only one specific variety that is worthy for medicinal purposes. The medicinal repute of Aloe Vera has passed through thousand of years.

Terminologically, Aloe Vera is derived from the Latin word Vera, which means true. The meaning was added to this particular species of Aloe plant in order to set it apart from the remaining of the aloe plants. This is the only species, which boasts of being incorporated with the therapeutic properties.

Of late, there is re-incarnation of the medicinal properties of the Aloe Vera plant. But being age-old natural remedies, Aloe Vera is a really magical herb, which is being used by our ancestors for the ages.
