The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released a new study, which says in the last 10 years there has been a drastic increase in the number of diabetes cases; it has reached up to 90% during this period.

The study further highlights the residents of South Carolina are most likely to be afflicted with diabetes as it houses in high salt, high fat and high sugar southern cooking. And this dramatic growth underlines the rising burden of diabetes across South Carolina.
