Monsoon marks the end of scorching, dry and hot season. It is the season when we love to get wet and feel the experience of ecstasy with one drop falling on our body. However, in the intoxication of feeling the ecstasy, we forget that the rainy season also brings a lot of hazards to our health and skin.

The heat-induced rashes of summer season make way for the humidity-induced problems of the monsoon. If you get health- conscious and be a little precautious, you could be protected against lots of misery over bad skin.

The dull and lifeless skin is the commonly found problem of rainy season. It is mainly caused by the irregular distribution of moisture and poor cell turnover and high humidity in the atmosphere. So, it is better to have a regular toning, moisturizing and cleansing the skin. Apply a gentle non drying soap. Splash on your face with plain water many times a day. Follow this treatment with an exfoliating face scrub to rid of dead cells and augment collagen production. A perfect scrub may have fruit and oatmeal extracts.

Next to attack on the skin are breakouts and pimples that are caused mainly by pollutants and dirt drawn by the sweat. To chuck out this problem, clean and maintain a clean skin. Wash the dirt out of your skin thoroughly, and grim by making use of a gentle face wash as a minimum 2 to 3 times a day.

Fungal infection creates havoc during the monsoon. It is mainly caused by the wet cloths and shoes that breed microbes. They all play a big role in making you healthy.
