‘Treatment of the new born’
This sanskar is performed after 6 months. It is the time when semi solid diet is given to the child. The first feed is given with the hymns blessing that whatever food is fed be bracing and nourishing the body, mind and soul. And shall the digestive system easily digest the cereals also. The ritual is also a beginning for the teaching of child towards his interest features.
The interesting features known during the pregnancy by Garbhasamwad (interaction with the unborn) are helpful during the Annaprashan sanskar (first solid feed of the child) ceremony is done to know the inclination in the child.
