‘Panchmahabhoot milan’
The land is to be smeared with cow dung and water. Covered with kusha (grass) seasame seeds sprinkled all over. The man lies on the land with his head pointing north and feet pointing south.
The holy water of Ganges and basil leaves should be poured in the mouth. The gold donated with his hands. The motive of all these rituals post death is “the soul shall meet his divine light”. The light of God and shall seek in rest forever.
