Garbhadhan Sanskar

‘Beeja is the reflection of child’

This sanskar is performed from preconception to the time of conception. The Garbhadhan sanskar is done to overcome any defect in the ovum and foetus to purify the womb. According to Vedic texts, 75% of defects in a child manifest in the period from conception to first month of pregnancy. These defects can be well observed in the first seven to 8 months of pregnancy only. The inappropriate beeja is the cause of 90% of abortions or miscarriages.

The auspicious ritual is called rutukaal and is done at a specific time (‘Mahurut’). This can help infertile couple (infertility without specific reasons) conceive and those who do not have any physiological problem can have beej shudhi as a famous proverb goes: ‘As you sow, so shall you reap’.
