‘Baby’s day out…’
This sanskar is done when the child is taken out of home for the first time. This custom is to protect the child from evil eye. Gratitude towards all five elements -- air, water, earth, heat and is paid. This is supposed to enhance the age, physical and mental development of the child. If we compare it scientifically it is done to build up immunity of the child to fight the anti bacterial, microbial and sensitive elements.
