Home remedies for migraine By Megha Batra
Migraine refers to paroxysmal ailments associated with severe headache. Usually, this headache occurs on one side of the head.  Patients suffering from migraine headache are generally smart, inflexible and disciplined. Migraine attacks occur suddenly due to overworking of muscles in the head and neck area and also due to continuous mental stress. The blood flow in the brain falls as these tight muscles squeeze the arteries. The moment a person suddenly relaxes, the tight muscles expand and stretch the walls of the blood vessels. The blood pumped with each heartbeat then pressurizes the vessels further, leading to extreme pain in the head.
Migraine attacks have no fixed cycle. They may occur every day, every week, over a month’s gap or sometimes over a year.
