Growing age is one of the worst dreams that frightens all, and wrinkles is the primary worry of everyone. No one can escape from wrinkles but its impact can be reduced by taking good care of certain things. There are a number of causes other than aging that lead to the development of wrinkles.

Some of them are mentioned hereunder:

Let us check out what all helps to overcome the problem of wrinkles.
 
•    There are two types of aging that the skin faces. One is intrinsic aging and second is photo aging. The former is genetically controlled. The initial signs of wrinkles are noticed at the skin area near lips and eyes. It is useful to wear sunglasses in order to protect the eyes from the harmful UV rays. In order to protect the area around eyes, it is advisable to wear a hat everytime you go to a beach or spend some days at an outdoor location.
•    Whenever you are outdoors, apply a good sunscreen lotion at an hourly interval. Try to avoid the mid-day sun as much as possible.
•    A quick and frequent change in facial expressions enhances the scope of development of wrinkles. Try to keep a straight face unless a change in facial expression is necessary.
•    Take regular care of your skin. Go for cleansing, exfoliating, toning and moisturizing on a routine basis. Apply double amount of moisturizer at night.
•    Avoid too much fluctuation in your weight. Keep a stable weight.
•    Take good amount of natural antioxidants, such as fresh fruits and green vegetables.
•    Avoid tension and stress. Do things that make you happy. Try to entertain yourself.
•    Drink herbal teas as an alternative to aerated drinks and other beverages.
•    Make a habit of drinking at least 8 glasses of water in a day.
•    Wash your face with cold water. Use a rough towel to wipe your face. Make a mixture of milk cream and few drops of lemon and apply it on your face at night. Keep rubbing your face till the mixture is absorbed completely. Leave it for one hour and then wash your face. If this procedure is followed on a regular basis for at least 15-20 days, wrinkles and black spots on your face would get eliminated considerably.
•    Do a gentle massage with olive oil on your face. It is considered to be an effective natural remedy for wrinkles. Wash your face with cold water as this is also very effective in preventing wrinkles. Make sure that you do not wipe your face immediately after washing it. Instead, pat your face with hands to let it dry. It helps your face to look fresh and beautiful.
•    One of the proven remedies for wrinkles includes drinking at least half a glass of carrot juice (once in a day) regularly for two weeks.
•    Daily application of papaya is a proven remedy for wrinkles. It also makes the skin glow and look fair. You can apply it on the neck also and do massaging for some time. This not only cleans the neck but also removes wrinkles.
•    Lie down in a relaxing posture and keep a piece of cucumber around the eyes and on the forehead. Within two weeks, you will feel the change and your wrinkles will be removed to a great extent.
•    Your face will become soft and wrinkle-free if you apply lemon juice and rub lemon peels on your face.
•    Apply some coconut oil on your face and do a gentle massage in your problem areas. Do it for 15-20 days at night before sleeping. Your wrinkles will get reduced to a great extent.
•    Apply egg whites to reduce the effect of wrinkles around your eyes.
•    Do Massaging in the direction that is just opposite of the wrinkles. This also will reduce wrinkles.
 
Note: Avoid resorting to any of the above remedies in case you are allergic to them. Consult a dermatologist in such a case.
