Ayurveda doctors accused of misguiding medicos
Ayurveda doctors in Thiruvananthapuram have faced accusations from the joint forum of traditional Ayurveda medical practitioners. According to the forum, the Ayurveda doctors are misleading the Ayurveda medicos on a Government Order recognizing traditional practitioners.
The Paramparya Vaidya Sanghatana Samyuktha Samithi leaders stated a Government Order, which was issued on June 4, had identified traditional Ayurveda doctors. The doctors were said to be around 43 years of age and had finished 5-years in the field in the Malabar region.
Chavasseri Chandran Vaidyan and T.V.Madhavan Vaidyan, State president of the Forum, mentioned that the treatments prescribed by them were different as they were founded up on ashtanga ayurveda method, being educated in the Ayurveda Medical Colleges and the traditional ayurveda treatments
Ayurveda doctors, with commercial interests, are prompting the medicos and doctors to come to the streets in demonstrate against the Government Order.
No such law exits in any part of the country that keeps a tab on the traditional practice of ayurveda. The Constitution has the provision of controlling the traditional treatment ways and native knowledge.
