In a major scientific breakthrough, scientists have been able to isolate an extract from an Indian herb Gymnema sylvestre that can help people maintain blood sugar and cholesterol levels.

According to Ayurveda International – a Neenah, Wisconsin based biotech firm – its sponsored research at King’s College-London on its multi-patented Gymnema sylvestre extract as shown that it has properties that can keep blood sugar and cholesterol levels under check.
