Popular Indian yoga guru Swami Ramdev after gaining huge respect and popularity in Nepal is now planning to set up yoga ashram in Kathmandu soon.  Baba Ramdev is visiting Kathmandu for a five day yoga camp which will start off on March 27 with his millions of followers.

During his stay in Kathmandu, he will also inaugurate a yoga ashram. The aashram will also have a diagnostic centre  promoting ayurvedic medicines manufactured by Himalayan herbs. The yoga centre will have a similar structure like his famous Divya Yoga Mandir in Haridwar.

Nepal’s communist government has promised to give land in the capital for Ramdev’s yoga centre at subsidised rate. Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurveda Kendra which is registered with the Nepal government has 16 ayurvedic treatment centres in the country and out of them, four are located in Kathmandu only.  To promote yoga awareness in the country Baba Ramdev has sought to have lands in other districts like Dang, Lamjung, Syangja, Chitwan, Dhanusha, Bara and Parsa.

Baba Ramdev had organised his first yoga camp in Kathmandu in 2007. But the Maoists of Nepal opposed the camp and created trouble.

Baba Ramdev has huge followers all over the world. Even Nepal's Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and President Ram Baran Yadav are his followers.
