National Ayurveda Convention 2009 to be held at Pennsylvania

The National Ayurveda Convention for the year 2009 is to be held between 30th October and November 1, 2009. It will be held in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania at Twin Ponds Integrative Health Center. APNA, The Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America will hold the convention in collaboration with AWC, Ayurveda Wellness Center at Coopersburg, Pennsylvania.

The theme this year is very interesting 'Ayurveda for Optimum Health and Wellness -An Integrative Approach'. Doctors of Integrative Medicines and Ayurvedic Doctors will make their own presentations on the various aspects of Wellness and Health. This would include stressing on the importance and the part played by Ayurveda in present day medicines and also the integration of Ayurveda for women’s health care.

Also the use of Ayurveda in case of diseases like the diabetes mellitus and the use of Ayurvedic medicine in case of auto immune diseases would be the burning topics for discussion. Presently, the problem of obesity is a gnawing problem for many. Therefore, a proper research into the treatment of obese people using Ayurveda would also be the subject of discussion. A research study using Ayurveda in the different disease therapies would be the main point of study at the convention.
