Two-day meet held in Ludhiana to educate people on Ayurveda By Staff Writer

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Punjab recently organized a 2-day meet known as‘Arogya.’ The event aimed at educating people on the traditional systems of medicine in India and promoting healthy living in modern-day society.

The move was taken considering a worldwide concern for health. People are embracing the age-old alternate systems of medicine to run off the side effects of modern-day drugs

People from different walks of life took part in the event. Almost 70 manufacturers of Siddha, Ayurvedic, Unani and Homeopathy medicines displayed their products apart from getting interacted with medical consumers and practitioners.

Rajni, a trainee doctor, said, “The young generation is not very much aware of Ayurveda and to get quick relief from the disease, they adopt the system of allopathic medicine but if they try to understand about Ayurveda, they will know that it has very good results instead of Allopathic treatment.”

The fair stressed up on the fact Indian systems of medicine has highly effective treatment for many diseases.
